MEHR: Local media in Iraq and Syria reported that illegal military bases belonging to the United States Army were targeted by rockets and drones.

Iraqi Resistance said that it targeted the US occupation forces in the al-Tanf base on the Syrian-Iraqi border and Conoco gas field northeast of Deir Al-Zawr, local Syrian media reported.

“We targeted al-Tanaf base with three drones on Thursday morning”, the Iraqi Resistance said in a statement, according to Syrian official news agency-SANA.

Later, the Iraqi Resistance said it also targeted the US occupation forces in Conoco gas field northeast of Deir Al-Zawr.

Meanwhile, local Iraqi media reported several explosions near Baghdad International Airport, the capital of Iraq, on Friday morning.

Iraq's al-Maluma news agency reported that the American Victory military base near Baghdad airport was hit by two rockets. Lebanon's al-Mayadeen network also confirmed this news, citing its correspondent in Baghdad.

The base is in the vicinity of the airport and was the target of rocket and mortar attacks by Iraqi groups in the past years. Iraqis want such bases to be removed.

On Thursday, the American military base in Ain al-Assad was targeted by a drone attack.

The US Department of Defense confirmed that one of its soldiers died of an alleged heart attack in the drone attack on Ain al-Assad base.

The new round of attacks come as the United States is closely cooperating with the Tel Aviv regime in its aggression on the besiged Gaza, which has left more than 3,500 Gazans martyred and more than 12,000 wounded.

The Resistance groups in the region had warned that the Gaza conflict could spill over to new fronts.

The US military claimed on Thursday night that it had thwarted missiles and drones coming towards Zionist regime of Israel from Yemen.
