MEHR: Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian sent congratulatory messages to his counterparts in countries that celebrate Nowruz.

Amir-Abdollahian sent separate messages to his counterparts in Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and India.

The top Iranian diplomat congratulated the governments and the people of those countries on Nowruz and wished their nations a year full of happiness and well-being.

The ancient ritual and beautiful traditions of Nowruz are a symbol of the deep human, cultural, and civilizational ties between the nations of the region, Amir-Abdollahian said.

The government and people of Iran are seriously pursuing the development and expansion of relations with the countries of these countries within the framework of the good neighborhood policy and in the direction of deepening the bonds of friendship, relations, and cooperation based on common interests, according to him.

He also expressed hope that progress, prosperity, and common security of the region will be developed.
