Iran FM meets Indonesian, Finnish counterparts in Geneva
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has held separate meetings with his counterparts from Finland and Indonesia on the sidelines of the 55th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in Geneva.

In a meeting with his Indonesian counterpart Retno Marsudi on Monday, Amir-Abdollahian called for immediate actions by Islamic countries to prevent Israeli military operation in Gaza's Rafah.
During the meeting, Amir-Abdollahian felicitated Indonesia for holding the recent successful election and its membership in the United Nations Human Rights Council. He also hailed Indonesia's favorable efforts in recent months to support Palestine.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the top Iranian diplomat referred to the signing of 11 documents during Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi’s visit to Indonesia and emphasized the need for the two sides to pursue the full implementation of the agreements.
Marsudi, for her part, also called for the implementation of the agreements reached between her country and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
She also urged enhancing cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
Touching upon the mass killing underway in the Gaza Strip, she called on the Islamic countries to take effective action to prevent such humanitarian catastrophe in the besieged enclave.
In a separate meeting, the Iranian foreign minister and his Finnish counterpart Elina Valtonen emphasized the need for improving the relations between the two countries to the best level.
The two top diplomats discussed expanding cooperation between Iran and Finland during the meeting.
Referring to the ongoing Israeli war in the Gaza Strip, Amir-Abdollahian said that unfortunately, due to the politicization of the issue of human rights, some countries who claim to be defendants of human rights have not allowed the formation of a fact-finding committee regarding all these horrific killings.
Valtonen, for her part, welcomed the continuation of dialogue with the Islamic Republic in areas of common interest.
Regarding the war in Gaza, the top Finnish diplomat described the alarming humanitarian situation there as a common concern of the two countries and stressed the need for continuing efforts to prevent a human tragedy.
