Iran not seeking tension with any party, even with US: Spox.

MEHR: Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kan'ani says that Tehran is not seeking to get involved in any tension with any party, even with the United States.

The senior Iranian diplomat made the remarks speaking at his weekly press conference on Monday.

"We used our maximum capacities regarding the issue of Palestine and ending the (Israeli) regime's war against Gaza. Iran's opinion is still clear; Stability in the region is in the interest of all parties. There must be an end to this war crime, an end to the siege of Gaza, and an end to the evil policy of displacing the people of Gaza," he emphasized.

"We believe that these positions of Iran are completely principled and logical. We must pay attention to the root (cause) of the crisis. We do not want tension with any side, not even America," Kan'ani further cited.

Saying that what is witnessed in the region is not the result of the tension between Iran and the US, the senior Iranian diplomat stressed that unfortunately, the international community and the Security Council failed to fulfill their responsibility in ending the crisis due to the non-constructive actions of the United States.

Iran, Iraq strong ties not to be affected by incidents

Referring to the visit of Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Akbar Ahmadian to Iraq, Kan'ani stressed that regular and continuous dialogues are underway between Iran and Iraq at different levels.

The relations between the two countries are elite and some events cannot have a negative impact on the depth and strength of the relations between the two countries, he said, considering Ahmadian's trip a favorable opportunity to exchange views and opinions between the high security and political officials of the two countries on strengthening relations.

"The sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iraq is respected by Iran. Iran's commitment to supporting the sovereignty of Iraq does not need to be verified," he added.

Iran does not interfere in Resistance groups' decisions

Elsewhere in his remarks, Kan'ani said that the Resistance groups in the region do not take orders from the Islamic Republic of Iran in their decisions and actions.

Iran monitors developments in the region with readiness and vigilance, and the responsibility for the consequences of provocative accusations against Iran rests with the perpetrators of such baseless claims, he added.

China not sent any message to Iran over Yemen's Ansarullah

Answering a question raised by the Mehr News Agency correspondent, the senior Iranian diplomat rejected the claims of receiving a message by China regarding Yemen's Ansarullah movement.

Regional countries can play effective role in improving Afghanistan situation

"Iran believes that the countries of the region can play a role in helping to consolidate stability in Afghanistan and improve the conditions of Afghan citizens more than any other party," he stressed.

He further stressed that in the framework of regional mechanisms, Iran has proposed initiatives to help improve the situation in Afghanistan that have been welcomed by a number of neighbors.

"We believe that with the support of the United Nations, we can create better conditions in this country," he underlined.
