Very horrific days await Israel: Iranian top diplomat

MEHR: Iran’s Foreign Minister has said that Palestinian resistance fighters have so far given a powerful response to Israel’s aggression on Gaza, and such a trend would make the coming days terrible for the regime.

“Islamic resistance has so far responded powerfully to acts of aggression by the Israeli regime, and with this trend, the coming days will be very terrible for the Israeli regime,” Amir-abdollahian said on Wednesday night in a phone call with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, the Qatari prime minister, and foreign minister.

Both condemned Israeli crimes against Palestinian women and children in Gaza, and called for immediate action by the international community to stop genocide and war crimes in the besieged territory.

"We are sure that we will emerge victorious out of this war,” Ali Baraka, head of Hamas' National Relations Abroad, told Lebanon’s al-Ahed news website. He added that the Israeli military had failed dismally to attain any of its declared objectives, including the destruction of Hamas, the release of Israeli captives, and the permanent displacement of Palestinians from Gaza.

The Iranian and Qatari officials, meanwhile, condemned the regime's crimes against women and children in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, where the regime has also intensified its deadly violence against Palestinians.

They urged prompt international action towards immediate cessation of the regime's war crimes and genocide against the Palestinian people and its flagrant violation of international law, and emphasized the need for extensive transfer of humanitarian aid to the Palestinians.

Elsewhere in their remarks, the top diplomats expressed support for the United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres' efforts aimed at cessation of the Israeli regime's attacks against the people of Gaza.

The Iranian and Qatari foreign ministers have held several phone conversations on Gaza since the Israeli regime began its war on October 7.

The talks are part of diplomatic efforts by Iran to support the Palestinian people and help stop the Israeli genocide.
