MEHR: The presidents and high-ranking officials of Iran and Cuba signed 7 cooperation documents and MoUs, and a joint statement.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi and his Cuban counterpart Miguel Díaz-Canel signed a joint statement on deepening strategic and bilateral relations between the two countries.

High-ranking officials of Iran and Cuba also signed 7 cooperation MoUs and documents in different fields including science and technology, health, agriculture, energy and mining, communication, and medicine.

The Cuban President arrived in Tehran in a bid to hold talks with the Iranian high-ranking officials on the issues of mutual interest.

Upon arrival at Mehrabad airport in western Tehran late on Sunday, the Cuban president was welcomed by Iranian Minister of Health Bahram Eynollahi.

Holding private talks, attending joint meetings between the two sides’ delegations, and participating in the joint press briefing are among the plans of the Cuban president in Tehran.
